Cape Town, South Africa, which combines the cultural and natural landscape features of Europe and Africa, is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and the most popular tourist city in Africa.

It has beautiful scenery and a strong historical flavour, and the Cape of Good Hope is the symbol of Cape Town.

Originally known as the Storm Cape, the Cape of Good Hope is a famous headland at the southwestern tip of Africa. It is a landmark of Cape Town and the confluence of the South Atlantic and Indian Ocean, and its faraway south is Antarctica.

As a world-famous landmark scenic spot, when it was first discovered by the world more than 500 years ago, there was a beautiful misunderstanding: in August 1487, the Portuguese navigator "Diaz" of the Great Navigation era set out from Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. Southward along the west coast of Africa, exploring the route around the southernmost tip of the African continent to India.

When the fleet sailed into the waters at the junction of the Atlantic and Indian oceans, there was a storm at sea, and high winds and waves pushed the surviving ship to an unnamed headland, which Diaz mistakenly thought was "the southernmost tip of the African continent." he named the headland "Storm Cape".

In November 1497, another Portuguese explorer, Da Gama, led a fleet to sail successfully into the Indian Ocean through the Cape of Good Hope. After arriving in India for trade, he brought a large number of oriental goods such as gold, spices and silk back to Europe.

King John II of Portugal was overjoyed and renamed the "Cape of Good Hope" to "Cape of Good Hope", meaning that around the cape you can reach the rich east. The maritime trade road between the East and the West was thus opened.

The Cape of Good Hope is not the southernmost tip of the African continent, the real southernmost tip is the Cape Egarias, which is 147 kilometres away from her. although this beautiful misunderstanding was pointed out in 1966, the world did not buy it.

The halo of the Cape of Good Hope is too strong. Nowadays, when tourists travel to South Africa, the Cape of Good Hope must be one of the scenic spots that must be visited, while the Cape of Good Hope is selectively ignored.

Even without the title of the southernmost tip of Africa, the Cape of Good Hope is a famous nature reserve, and its unique landscape is worth visiting.

The Cape of Good Hope is located in the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. There are two promontories in the reserve, in addition to the Cape of Good Hope. There is also a Cape called Cape, which is the most popular scenic spot in the area. An old lighthouse stands on Cape Cape, which is a landmark of the Cape of Good Hope.

Under the old lighthouse is a large stone with graffiti from tourists from all over the world. In front of the old lighthouse is a wooden pole with several signs pointing in different directions, indicating the distance from major cities around the world.
